The Emerald Arborvitae is a popular tree for screening views or creating privacy when used in multiples. They stay slim, so they are ideal for use where space is limited. Place 3 feet apart on center to allow them space to grow, or stagger them in rows for a more immediate screening. The interior foliage will brown and drop in autumn as part of the natural growth cycle.

The Holmstrup Arborvitae is a slow grower and stays small, so it's ideal for situations where space is limited. Like the Emerald, it can be used to create privacy or screen a view, or it can be a background or specimen in a landscape bed. The foliage has a looser, more undulating appearance than the Emerald.
