Acer platanoides 'Emerald Queen'

Emerald Queen is a faster growing cultivar of the Norway Maple, but still not as fast as the rubrums and their cultivars, reaching only about 25' tall and 20' wide after 20 years. This tree transplants well, is tolerant of poor soils and adapts well to drought conditions after establishment. The brilliant yellow fall color makes it an excellent companion tree to the bright red foliage of Autumn Flame, Autumn Blaze or Red Sunset.

The Red Sunset is one of our more popular maples when fast growth is desired. It will develop a dense pyramid to rounded crown with dark green foliage, turning red to orange in autumn. This tree is tolerant of poor soils and moist conditions and transplants well.
